We might be a good fit if…

…you seem capable and thoughtful from the outside, while privately spending a lot of energy figuring out how to be.

…you have an imaginative inner world but don’t express or share it with others. You want a more vibrant and textured life.

…you’re a child of immigrants, or from a family with high expectations. You might feel loved but not known. You want to honor your roots while living honestly.

…you’re discovering parts of your identity later than you expected, and looking back at your younger self with a mix of recognition and grief.

I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in complex trauma. I work in South Pasadena/Alhambra, and across California via telehealth.

Before private practice, I trained in community mental health, acute inpatient care, family systems, and couples work. I’ve supported clients facing trauma, crisis, and complex mental health needs.

I tend to work with people who really want to know themselves, but didn’t always have enough space. Many identify as Asian American/part of the Asian diaspora, LGBTQ+ (across sexuality and gender), neurodivergent, overthinkers, or shy.

I believe there’s logic to us, even when our conscious minds don’t understand it. The bristling, foggy, indecisive, self-sabotaging parts of us are there for a reason.

Therapy with me is contemplative but not endlessly wandering. I wonder out loud, reflect what I’m noticing, and slow down to examine the invisible patterns guiding your life.

Sometimes, I use structured approaches when rumination, intrusive thoughts, or chronic doubt are present. My style can be especially helpful if you tend to mask or people-please in therapy.

As a fellow weird person, I’m genuinely honored when my clients decide they don’t have to edit themselves so much with me.
